Opening a Reflexology Practice in Georgia

Currently, Georgia does NOT require state certification or licensure of reflexologists. Typically, each city or county decides on their own business license requirements. We recommend that you contact your local city/county business office for specific details.

 

The practice of Reflexology is exempt in the State of Georgia via the Georgia Massage Therapy and Bodywork Therapy Practice Act (HB915).

 

O.C.G.A. § 43-24A-19. Exceptions 

(5) A person who restricts his or her practice to the manipulation of the soft tissue of the human body to hands, feet, or ears who does not have the client disrobe and does not hold himself or herself out as a massage therapist;
